There are lots of things that can be made by hand and require very cheap material. Take a paper coat rack for instance the main material needed is paper. Depending on the wall color you need:
- Beautiful paper
- Drill
- Pencil
- Ruler
- Pre-cut shelves
- Wood glue
- Screws
- Hooks
Then...
- Using wood glue, apply it on the wood then carefully cut out your paper to size and place it firmly on the wood. Do not leave the corners hanging.
- To give your new surface a smooth shiny finish, apply some sealant on to the paper surface.
- Place the hooks on the surface marking their position, then using the pencil and ruler put those measurements n paper.
- Drill holes in the wood.
- With your screwdriver, screw the hooks down.
- Take an inch from the corners drilling holes through your piece of wood for the screws that will hold the rack to the wall.
- Lastly using a hammer, fix nails in the holes made on the corners to the wall.
