Solution to Fix Plugs that Keep Slipping

The outlet in the photo above offers 2 sockets on each side. However, the one below offers 3 sockets on each side...
Maybe you have one of those annoying plugs that keep slipping out of the outlet by your bed, beside your sofa or some other area? I did in my bedroom. There was an outlet by the bed where I had my halogen lamp plugged in and just about every single day I had to secure it.
Take a look at this annoying thing...
The picture above shows the extension cord I was using. I couldn't plug in the original cord because it was a few inches too short.
It wasn't just annoying but in my opinion it was a bit of a fire hazard since I tuck my sheets into the bed and the hot plug could easily catch them on fire. Anyway, for months I'd done a search trying to find something that worked and then I received this magazine in the mail.
I usually look through them because I'm always looking for space saving furniture to recommend and it's common for me to find at least one or two things that I'll mention here at Small Furnish.
Well anyway, after flipping through numerous pages I found the perfect outlet that I knew would finally solve my annoying issue with those slipping cords.
I just plugged it in today and just stared at it for about 5 minutes. Arms crossed, shaking my head, saying, "absolutely amazing."
The picture above shows the actual lamp cord. With the new outlet I was able to plug it in due to the inches I was able to save.
I am totally and utterly in love. The socket is plugged in and it stays in place. I don't have to worry about hitting it and having it fall out when I make my bed. No more fire hazard. It's in there and it's not going anywhere.
Absolutely amazing.
