The Wall-Mounted Side Table works for bedrooms and living rooms alike. It makes a great bedside table for the bedroom or a great end table for the living room. You can get it in light wood and black or all black.

You’ll find that it works great for modern or contemporary rooms. The side table is scratch resistant and support measurements are 24″ x 6″ x 5/8″. As for the table top itself, it measurements are 18″ x 18″ x 5/8″.

The Wall-Mounted side Table mounts easily to the wall with the slots in the back and no hardware is visible.

It’s great for holding tabletop lamps, clocks, books, knickknacks and other small accessories.

Imagine having a beautiful wall-mounted folding table that you made. It could be a dining table, desk, side table, laundry shelf or even a bedside table.
Well, now you…

Imagine having a beautiful wall-mounted folding table that you made. It could be a dining table, desk, side table, laundry shelf or even a bedside table.

Well, now you don’t have to just imagine it… you can do it yourself and the good news is that it’s relatively easy. How so…?

Because folding shelf brackets exist, that’s why!

Folding shelf brackets are exactly what they sound like… brackets that can be mounted on the wall that fold down. The brackets allow you to mount them to a wooden board or particle board and create your own wall surface for purposes you see fit.

If you don’t like the bracket above, consider this one as an alternative…

Here’s a general idea of what you’ll need to do this project…

self-drilling anchors or toggle bolts or stud finder (for non-self drilling anchors)

16-20″ (deep) wood or particle board

screws (they generally come with the self-drilling anchors and bolts)

16-18″ folding shelf bracket (2)

yardstick

pencil

If you don’t have a stud finder, you should be able to get away with using self-drilling anchors or toggle bolts to mount your brackets into the wall.

They’re relatively affordable… costing about $4-5 for a pack of anchors or toggles. The ones I generally love to use are E-Z Anchors or E-Z Toggles which are available at Home Depot.

Between anchors and toggles, I usually prefer to use anchors over toggles.

Simply because I’ve always had trouble using the toggle bolts, so I steer clear of them whenever I can.

The particle board or wood which will be used as the table surface can be purchased at your local hardware store as well. If you get a bracket that’s around 16-18 inches, theoretically speaking, you’re not going to want to get a board that’s anymore than maybe 2-4 inches larger in depth (than the bracket(s)).

If you’re going for something like making a small dining table or desk, then a nice 20″ table would do well. One that’s about 20″D x 20″W would make a great surface for mealtimes.

Above all else, to reduce mistakes, get the brackets you want first so you can compare them to the shelf board you’re interested in. That way you can make sure they’re large enough to support the shelf you have in mind.

Lastly, have a yardstick and pencil on hand once you’ve got all of your supplies so you can mount the brackets and shelf evenly on the wall.

Once you’ve finished, you should be able to fold down the table any time you please and pull it back up for the tasks at hand.
