When you need fresh vegetables and have not much garden space or you live in an apartment that is high up in the air, you can create a vertical vegetable garden. How? Well, it is simple and easy.
Search for a place in your balcony or garden area (if living on the ground floor) where you can hang a shoe bag. The pole supporting the bag should be sturdy and strong, you can use a curtain hanging rod or even a strong bar or bamboo stick. Use strong hooks to hold the bag and hang it on the rod.
Make sure you buy a bag, which can hold the weight of the plant, soil, compost and water. Make a couple of holes in each pocket of the bag and fill the compost and soil. Plant vegetable creepers include mini-tomatoes, salad leaves, some herbs, mustard spinach, beans, etc.
Take special care when watering the plant and avoid over watering, as this will cause harm to the plants and will throw all the compost out of the bag dirtying the other plants below.
Keep the shoe bag in a place where the plants get appropriate sunlight but again not more than required.
Within a few days you will be able to see your plants growing and you can enjoy your fresh vegetables form your garden, which is clean and far beyond the reach of cats and dogs, that destroy your vegetable garden.
